Resource Guide: Vermont New Farmer Network Member Organization
Land for Good
Land For Good is a New England-wide nonprofit that specializes in farm access, tenure and succession. We help and support farm seekers to learn about tenure options, prepare to acquire land through lease or purchase, and negotiate agreements. We assist beginning farmers with individual readiness planning. We offer individual consulting, educational workshops and presentations, online tutorials and resources, and paper materials. We emphasize less-traditional land access options and secure and affordable lease models. We also help farm families plan for succession and transfer through our sustained "coaching" process. We work with private and public non-farming landowners (for example, conservation organizations and municipalities) to make their land available for farming. Our co-directors and associate staff work in partnerships and collaborations with other groups in each New England state.
