UVM is a participant in the New England Humanities Consortium (NEHC), a regional network dedicated to intellectual collaboration, interdisciplinary exchange, and regional humanities programming. The network has secured funding from the Mellon Foundation to support its launch.

Award Purpose:

In order to support UVM faculty participation in its initiatives—and to allow our faculty to meet with colleagues at partner universities to plan new initiatives—the Humanities Center has established a special travel fund to provide reimbursement for travel expenses related to network activities.

Permissible Expenses: reimbursement of personal automobile mileage, car rental, or public transportation expenses. Because all of the participating institutions are within driving distance, air travel is not covered by this award, except under special circumstances.

Please Note: meal expenses are not reimbursable by this award, but other funding sources may cover the expense.

Who can apply? UVM faculty (tenure track and lecturers)

Award amount: up to $800 per academic year

Deadline: rolling, first-come, first-served

Application process: Please NEHC Travel Fund Application (MSWord)
