Staff Nurse

Heather Godsey (she/her) is a Registered Nurse at UVM Student Health Services. She moved from Oregon to Vermont with her husband and two sons in the summer of 2023. Before moving, she served as the president of the Oregon School Nurses Association, and worked as a lead nurse at Multnomah Education Service District (MESD) in Portland, OR as the Nurse Consultant for School Health Services. Heather also served as an invited member of the Governor's Healthy Schools Reopening Council during the COVID-19 pandemic, which advised the governor and the Oregon Department of Education on considerations for safely reopening and operating Oregon schools during the pandemic. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community herself, Heather is passionate about providing affirming, nonjudgemental, compassionate nursing care for all students at UVM. Outside of work, Heather enjoys participating in horse riding, musical theater, gardening, snowboarding, and rock climbing.
