Joy Ojodunwene Onuh is a passionate civil engineer with a keen interest in sustainable solutions for groundwater protection. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria, earning a B.Eng degree in Civil Engineering with Second Class, Upper Division honours. Joy will begin her doctoral studies in the field of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, under the esteemed guidance of Professor Mandar Dewoolkar.

Beyond her academic journey, she has a diverse range of passions, including reading, music, business, cooking and engaging in sports. She also finds fulfilment in volunteering, dedicating her time and skills to making positive impact in her community and beyond. Fueled by her unwavering dedication to environmental preservation, she strives to explore innovative approaches to protect and sustain groundwater resources for the well-being of the society and environment. Joy looks forward to actively engage with her fellow students and faculty members, fostering meaningful relationships, and embracing the diverse community at the University of Vermont as she embarks on her graduate studies.
