Jolyon received his B.A. in Politics from Hendrix College (2016), and his MPA in Energy Policy from Indiana University, Bloomington (2018). He is a PhD. candidate in Natural Resources at the University of Vermont. Jolyon is professionally interested in examining the efficacy and ethics of actions undertaken by institutional agents to influence outcomes within socio-ecological systems. His current research foci include: the relationships between governmental, procedural norms and reports of environmental conflicts; the influence of project design on democratic support for trust-based, land-use policy; the role of polycentric energy planning in the coordination of the renewable energy transition. He is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honors Society, and Pi Alpha Alpha, the Global Honor Society for Public Affairs & Administration.
