Jeannine Valcour has fifteen years of experience developing and managing programs. At the University of Arizona, she managed transdisciplinary and cross-border graduate student practicums. She later worked for six years with the Institute for Sustainable Communities where she helped develop large programs and championed knowledge management and program evaluation. She holds a Master's degree in Latin American Studies and an MBA from the University of Arizona. Her thesis work explored vulnerability to climate change in a Spanish speaking Mayan community in Central America.
Jeannine works closely with Gund Director Taylor Ricketts in managing all aspects of the Gund Institute, including: helping set strategic directions for Gund's future, working with Gund fellows to develop collaborative grant proposals, coordinating activities among fellows and students, overseeing internal and external communications, and managing the Institute's budget.
