Laptop computers purchased through the
Computer Depot come ready to connect to our on-campus wireless network, you
will need to use software (already installed) called UVM's Cisco VPN client. If
you're bringing any other laptop with you, you'll need to install our VPN
software before you can connect to our wireless network. For more

Even if you already have e-mail, you will need to use your UVM account. You can activate your UVM NetID here, as soon as you've been accepted to UVM. Learn more about your NetID. You will receive official UVM communication through your UVM e-mail account, so be sure to check it regularly! You will also need your NetID for access to many other resources at UVM. With your UVM NetID and password, you can access your personal webspace at UVM or make your own UVM Blog! Learn more about web publishing at UVM here.
With your
NetID and password, you can access your private, secure storage space on our central server, zoo.uvm.edu. All data stored in your home directory is backed up nightly. You can access your files from anywhere in the world, and they are secure and
