The SAS® System for Windows
from SAS Institute, Inc.

SAS Institute products are available to UVM affiliates at no cost. SAS modules in this site license include Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/ETS, SAS/FSP, SAS/AF, SAS/OR, SAS/QC, SAS/IML, SAS/ASSIST, SAS/INSIGHT, SAS/LAB, SAS/EIS, SAS/ACCESS, SAS/SPECTRAVIEW, and several others.

Release 9.1.3 is the current Windows version. SAS 9.1.3 will run under only Windows NT 4.0 (with SP6a or higher), Windows 2000 Professional (with SP3), and Windows XP Professional (with SP2). Windows Vista is also supported, but the setup executable must be run in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode.

Release 8.2 is also available and will run under all versions of Windows from Windows 95 through Vista.

The SAS version for Macintosh is no longer licensed due to declining usage. SAS Institute never updated the Macintosh version from 6.12 to 8, and has no plans to introduce a version of SAS to run under Mac OS X. For these reasons, the Macintosh version has been dropped from our site license.

Version 8 includes a CD containing online documentation in HTML format. Printed manuals are available separately and may be ordered through the University store or directly from SAS Institute, Inc..
