Enterprise Technology Services Hours and Locations for Opening Week


As the fall semester begins, Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) is changing some operating hours and locations to improve services students, faculty, and staff.   Priority over the next few days will go toward helping students get the semester off to a good start.  Here is a summary of special hours during move-in and the first week of classes. Friday, August 24

Enterprise Technology Services, Academic Computing Services, and the School of Business Administration, like many other University departments, will be helping new students move in.  You will find skeletal crews in Academic Computing Services, Enterprise Application Systems, Client Services, the Computer Depot, Computer Operations, Network Services, the ETS Business Office, and Systems Architecture and Administration.   In collaboration with Residential Life, and with the generous participation of student, faculty and staff move-in volunteers, we'll be distributing hundreds of new computers, as well as helping students with a variety of computing needs.

  • Computer pick-up at Patrick Gym Tennis Courts (Multipurpose Facility), 8 am to 2 pm, for students living on Athletic and Redstone campuses.

  • The Help Line is open from 8 am to 5 pm at 656-2604, and online at http://www.uvm.edu/ets/help/.

  • Computing Account services will be open at 113 Waterman from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

  • The 113 Waterman computing lab is reserved for Orientation and is not available for general use.

  • In-person computing help at the Computer Depot Clinic, 211 Waterman, will be closed


Saturday and Sunday, August 25-27

  • On Saturday, computer pick-up resumes at Kalkin Hall, 2 pm - 4 pm, for students who live on Central or Trinity campuses, or in Jeanne Mance.

  • Special weekend hours for the Help Line, Telecommunications, Computer Depot, and Computer Depot Clinic.


Monday though Friday, August 27 - August 31

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: Special computing clinics, with times and locations listed above.   If you talk with students who are having computer problems, please encourage them to take advantage of these once-a-year opportunities. 

  • In-person computing help at the Computer Depot Clinic is closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday while we take the clinic on the road.  Regular semester hours of 10 am to 2 pm begin on Thursday. 


Fall Service Hours

With the beginning of the fall semester, several ETS services will be offered with new or expanded hours compared to summer schedules.  

  • Computing help will be open at the Computer Depot Clinic, 211 Waterman, from 10 am to 2 pm weekdays, starting Thursday, August 30. 

  • Computing Account Services is open at 113 Waterman from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm weekdays.

  • The Help Line, 656-2604, will have evening and weekend hours:  

Monday - Thursday 8 am to 9 pm
Friday 8 am to 5 pm
Saturday - Sunday 1 pm to 4 pm, through Homecoming and Family Weekend, October 5-8, 2007

  • The 113 Waterman computing lab resumes evening and weekend hours starting Monday, August 27.
