With the Orientation invitations in the mail, we're making progress on preparing new students for the fall semester.  But there's no rest.  Upcoming decisions and actions include:

   1.   What to include in the parents' and students' Orientation
        packets (May 28)

   2.   All about move-in weekend and distribution (June 1)

   3.   Back-to-school mailing -- a chance to get information to all
        students, not just first-year students

   4.   UVM Home page, temporary changes

I'm glad to coordinate our dealings with DOSA.  Here are the dates and details ([] indicates decisions and actions needed).  It's a long list, and you may want just to scan it for items in your domain.  I'll set up a meeting where we can come prepared to fill in the blanks, but if you have any information now, please feel free to email it to me or to the group.  Thank you all!

3. Back-to-school mailing

Web team?
4. UVM Home page

It's been suggested that a special, temporary, page (or special links) be presented around move-in time, geared toward new and returning students and their needs as the semester starts.  This ties in with the "What you can do online" idea.  I suppose this is between the Web Team and DOSA; I list it here as an fyi.
