The New Student Orientation Program assists incoming students in gaining the knowledge, skills and opportunities that will enable them to make a smooth transition to the University of Vermont and to become engaged and productive members of the community. Orientation is an essential first step in an ongoing effort to retain students and promote their continued success throughout their academic journeys. The Orientation Office leads university-wide strategic planning and program development for academic and co-curricular processes, communications, and campus-based and online programs for new students annually.
