Vermont Science Initiative - Hands on a Watershed

Working with Abby Hood and Will Hackett, I designed and lead a 5 day, in-service workshop for Vermont K-8 teachers entitled, Hands on a Watershed. The workshop provides an opportunity for a cohort of Vermont teachers to learn not only watershed science but also our approach to hands-on science pedagogy. We cover topics such as flow of water through river systems, soils and river terraces, and human-landscape interaction.
