Cosmogenic Nuclide Laboratory and Geomorphology Research Group

Soil Profiles, Georgia and Australia



Residual soil profiles accumulate cosmogenic nuclides as they age on the landscape. Nuclide concentrations and the shape of the profiles can be used to estimate exposure ages and erosion rates in favorable cases.
