Message from the Dean

CNHS Dean Patricia PrelockThis fall the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) advanced our mission to work together, educate an interprofessional workforce, create new knowledge and contribute to the wellness of society with a gift to support interprofessional collaboration among our colleagues in the health and related professions. Several faculty had notable research accomplishments; and our students were provided new opportunities for distinctive learning experiences that were academically rigorous and created meaningful engagement on campus, in the community and in the world.

Health Sciences Interest Group Supports Student Success

UVM EIMThis fall, CNHS offered 25 first-year students the opportunity to be part of a residence-hall based health sciences interest group. The students lived in Davis Hall, with on-site access to study groups, tutoring, and peer mentor hosted spaghetti dinners.

Physical Therapy Students Participate in International Collaborative

UVM DPTThirteen Doctor of Physical Therapy students traveled with physical therapy clinical faculty members Sonya Worth and Karen Westervelt to Auckland University of Technology on the North Island of New Zealand for the International Collaborative in Manual Physical Therapy in July.
