BIO

Dr. Aishwarya Joshi's primary areas of clinical practice, research, and scholarly work focus on the globalization of the field of counseling and counselor education. Her work includes trauma-informed counseling practices and interdisciplinary integration of mental health services in public policies. Her current research projects include qualitative inquiries conducted in the United States and in Kenya. 

She has received several American Counseling Association (ACA) divisional research grants including the Association for Adult Development and Aging Research Grant, Association for Humanistic Counseling Make a Difference Grant, Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (SACES) Research Grant, and Chi Sigma Iota Statewide/Regional Networking Grant. Additionally, Dr. Joshi has also been the recipient of the ACA's Foundation Grant for her research project in Kenya.
