Wen was born and raised in the Xi'an,Shaanxi Province in China. It is a city with a long history and place-based culture. So, Xi'an attracts so many people who are interested in Chinese culture as there are a lot of places of interest there. When she was 18 years old, Wen left her hometown to go to Wuhan to pursue her undergraduate education at the Zhongnan University of Economics & Law. Her major there was accounting and she received her Bachelor's degree in management in the summer of 2010. At UVM, she wanted to change her field of study and pursue Applied Economics. In the CDAE department, Wen hopes to further her studies and understanding of economic systems, and to learn more specific economic cases and find the relationships therein.
