A former Army officer who served overseas with the Second Infantry Division, Dr. Patterson began his career at UVM in 1973 as an Extension System Farm Safety Specialist and later the Energy Program Coordinator. He chared the VOTEC Department for seven years prior to becoming a full-time instructor in CDAE. Dr. Patterson is a faculty member in the Master of Public Administration program, teaching one of the core courses, PA 302 Public Sector Organizations. And he has also been involved in the Belize Semester Abroad Program in Sustainable Development. His research interests include core curriculum development, organizational transformation and change, experiential learning, and first year student development.
