Daniel is originally from Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. He attended Oberlin College, majoring in politics and focusing much of his free time on meaningful participation in the Oberlin Student Co-Operative Association. After an abortive attempt at a career in federal government, he returned to Vermont in 2009 and has since thrived in a variety of farm and food-related media. His personal interests include efficiency in food distribution and waste management, as well as alternative business models, and particularly cooperative food production.
