Continuing and Distance Education

Each year, Continuing and Distance Education (CE) helps thousands of non-traditional, non-degree students in Vermont and the Northeast to continue their education whether they are preparing to pursue a degree, planning a career change, or obtaining professional development or personal enrichment.

Working adults and part-time students choose from courses, workshops, certificates, and conferences offered at convenient times on-campus, online, and around the state. Getting started is as easy as registering for a class. Let the Continuing Education website walk you through registration times, courses offered, costs, goal-setting and much more. Guaranteed Admission Program

The Guaranteed Admission Program through CE is intended for students who are highly motivated and have made a commitment to further their education. Through a series of approved college courses and one-on-one advising sessions with an academic advisor, students develop a curriculum plan that helps them enter a UVM degree program. GAP students are enrolled in college courses that count directly toward admission and degree requirements. Learn more about the Guaranteed Admission Program.
