Part IV:  Manage your UVM Email using a feature rich Email Client

Knowledge workers today spend 2.25 hours a day reading, composing and processing electronic mail.  Doing so using a web browser is not ideal since many browsers have limited functionality compared to a full featured mail client like Outlook, Apple Mail or Thunderbird.

Below are steps to configure full mail clients.  This course does not require you to use a full mail client but you are strongly encouraged to take the time to configure a mail client on your primary workstation to increase your email productivity during your academic career while improving your electronic communication habits.

The options to manage your UVM email include (but are not limited to):

1.       Outlook:Mac 2011 Configuration to Manage UVM Email.  If you own a Mac and have had Office 2011 installed, this is an excellent option to manage your email.

2.       Outlook 2010 for Windows Configuration to Manage UVM Email.  If you are using a Windows Operating system, this is the best way to manage your UVM email.

3.       Thunderbird 13 for Mac or Windows Configuration to Manage UVM Email.  Another option to manage your UVM email on a Mac or PC is Thunderbird.  This is a rich mail client but Outlook is the recommended email platform for Business School Students.

4.       http://webmail.uvm.edu with a browser (Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox.).  No configuration necessary…just point a browser to this address.
