Thunderbird Configuration

Managing your UVM email using a web browser doesn’t afford nearly as much control and rich editing as a full mail client. Follow these steps to download, install and configure.

1. Login to www.uvm.edu/software with your UVM NetID

2. Choose your Operating System Platform (Macintosh OS X, Microsoft Windows or Linux).

3. Scroll down to find ‘Thunderbird’ (the list is alphabetically sorted by the application name).

4. Download the Thunderbird install bundle.

5. When finished downloading the bundle, double click the downloaded install bundle.

6. Follow the installation instructions using a ‘Standard’ configuration.

7. When the installation finishes, Launch Thunderbird.
