Differences Between Means

 

This applet presents three different graphics. The top one represents two different populations, and you can vary the difference between their means. The middle one presents the sampling distribution of the mean for samples taken from each of those populations. The bottom one represents the distribution of differences between means.

The applet is shown below

Move the sliders in the top graph to change the mean difference and the standard deviations as on previous applets. Move the side slider in the bottom graph to change the number of observations on which the mean of each group is based.
