Confidence Intervals Population Mean
The applets draws samples from a population where = 110, but compares those
intervals to an hypothesized mean of 100.

Click on the buttons at the
bottom to generate random samples. The resulting t-statistic is
plotted in the histogram. |

- Begin by repeated drawing one sample at a time.
- The draw 10 samples and note how the confidence intervals fit
with the (erroneous) null hypothesis that the mean = 0.
- Finally draw 100 samples at a time and note the overlap with
the mean of 100.
