Restriction of the Range of Values

This applet allows you to vary the range of values on the X and Y axes and observe how the correlation coefficient is affected.

The applet follows:

• Use the sliders to restrict the range of either variable from either end.
• Click on the graph to reset to original full ranges.
• Reload this page ("Refresh" or F5) to generate a new random sample.
