| I was using the word “addicted”
as a way to express how much I loved the results of my
new artist pencils but now here I am, with more new drawings
using…you guessed it! My new pencils. And here I
am with almost no feeling left in my thumb. I really need
to learn how to use these things without using so much
pressure. Now, the important information… This
is my first series of work NOT using my normal characters.
I thought it was very interesting the way slightly exaggerated
curves and different color schemes could give a “simple
little house” so much character. I guess one doesn’t
need eyes or a mouth to have a strong and interesting
personality. Maybe, just maybe, this series was inspired
from my great desire to own a house. It’s not
a new desire. I am just now thinking I might be mature
enough to own one. Well, at least I might be able to
pay for one now. Wish me luck or you may forever see
pictures of little houses.
