Paper Format Guidelines
  1. Top and Bottom Margins should be 1.25 inches
  2. Right and Left margins should be 1.25 inches
  3. You may include original artwork related to your paper, but this should be on an additional page with a figure caption
  4. Do not use page numbers
  5. Use double line spacing
  6. Paper should be at least 5 pages not including cover page, references, and illustrations. Any less and points will be deducted.
  7. Papers should not be any longer than 6 pages not including cover page, references, and illustrations, Any longer and points will be deducted.
  8. Include a cover page with your name and the date (do not put your name anywhere else on the document). Peer reviews will be anonymous.
  9. Use Times New Roman Font 10 pt ONLY.
  10. Everyone needs to have at least 10 references for their paper, including 5 journal articles, that have not been presented in class. You may use those presented in class, but they do not count as part of the 10 required. Use this format when siting your references.
  11. Submit as a Microsoft Word File or WordPerfect File
  12. The file should be named using your first initial plus your last name; for example John Doe's paper file would be jdoe.doc (Word) or jdoe.wpd (Word Perfect)
  13. The file may be e-mailed as an attachment to Milton.Tignor@uvm.edu or turned in on a 3.5" floppy disk (IBM PC format)
  14. Do yourself a huge favor and run the spell-checker one more time before you submit your paper.
