There will be 30 quizzes during the semester. These quizzes are designed to be short and straightforward. The quizzes will be conducted on-line through WebCT. You will reach this secure website by clicking on quizzes on the course home page and then entering your ID and password. Instructions for logging on the WebCT system can be found under computer resources.

Many of the questions come from the review section in the textbook at the end of the reading assignments. Others will be derived from lecture materials covered in class. The on-line quizzes will be open for 24 hours prior to twenty minutes before the start of class. You can take the quiz anytime during the 24 hours. Once you start the quiz you will have 20-30 minutes to complete the quiz. The quizzes are open book. Following the quiz you may check your grades online.

The quizzes are worth a total of 300 points (10 pts each) which is equivalent to 20% of your final grade.
