Undergraduate Student Intern 2008: Ben Crockett

Ben Crockett grew up in Waterford, ME in the hills of Oxford County. His grandfather was a longtime pesticide salesman to apple growers in the state of Maine, and his father was employed by Ricker Hill Orchards for a few years as well. After coming to college as a political science major, Ben decided that the path of horticulture was the way to go as a Sustainable Landscape Horticulture major in the Plant & Soil Science department. He also found employment within the department. He became the OrganicA undergraduate student intern in 2008 and continues to work with the project. Ben has enjoyed the great learning environment that is provided with working at the Horticultural Research Center and the OrganicA project.
