The Linda and Gene Farley Center for Peace, Justice and Sustainability is dedicated to socially and politically progressive change, community partnership and environmental sustainability. It seeks to achieve these goals by:
- Facilitating the good works of many of the progressive groups in Madison and the State of Wisconsin by providing a facility for meetings and retreats in an environment conducive to creativity, productivity and inspiration.
- Enhancing the diversity, knowledge, economics and health of the greater Madison community by tripling the acreage available for the incubation and development of community farm plots for sustainable, ethnic and organic farming techniques.
- Establish a permanent wildlife conservation easement supporting the growing demand for natural burials with minimal environmental impact while providing a funding source for The Center operations and upkeep now and in perpetuity.
In summary, our mission is "peas and just dust".
