Undergraduate IDIMC Guide  (Part 1)

The IDIMC is an option for undergraduate students completing licensure programs in Early Childhood, Elementary, Family and Consumer Sciences and Physical Education. It provides students in these programs with an opportunity to fulfill the 30 hour (minimum) liberal arts and sciences portion of their program with an intensive investigation of knowledge which is not offered by a single discipline.  The checklist below will guide you through the process.

Modifying an approved IDIMC Proposal

You may modify an approved IDIMC, although all changes must be approved by the Student Affairs Committee.  If you have selected a class for your proposal that is no longer offered, or wish to substitute a class for one already in your IDIMC proposal, you can request to modify your IDIMC course selection.  You will need to fill out a request form, available in our office or on the CESS Student Services Home Page (see below). You will also need to attach supporting documentation elaborating on your request to provide the committee with the information to make an informed decision.  This may include your reasons for seeking the change and how it fits in with your IDIMC.  The completed and signed request should be forwarded to Beth Ann Mohler (528 Waterman) after being reviewed and signed by your advisor.
