Learning about the Maya
For over three hundred years the Mayan people were among the most advanced civilizations in the western hemisphere.They created elaborate stone pyramids, temples, and sculptures in cities spanning across parts of Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, and Honduras.
 The Mayan's sophisticated systems of writing and mathematics as well as their extensive understanding of astronomy still fascinate scholars today.
