THE TAEKWONDO PROGRAM IN L/L

Kevin Hytten and Brad Mongeon - Past L/L TKD Directors

The Taekwondo program will not only teach the participants the physical techniques of Taekwondo, but will also stress the philosophies of Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverence, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit that acts as its base. Taekwondo is a Korean unarmed martial art consisting mainly of strikes with the feet and hands. We will study how to apply Taekwondo in self-defense, competitions, and as a form of artistic expression. This program will offer exposure to different cultures and their ways of thinking. By living in a program with others interested in Taekwondo, we will be able to improve ourselves both physically and mentally.

This program is open to people of all levels and arts but it should be made clear the only Taekwondo will be studied during class time.
