Shaping the Next Generation of Great Lakes Spill Responders

Responding to oil spills in the Great Lakes brings unique challenges. Response tools and techniques are rapidly evolving, and our understanding of how oil impacts the freshwater environment is changing as research expands. The GLCOE aims to help prepare the next generation of spill responders through an internship program with the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, various workshops, and community outreach events.
