The Hyde Park Highway team is once again opening their doors to welcome other municipalities, private contractors, municipal staff and boards, watershed groups, and others interested in learning about sustainable road salting practices. This year’s Road Salt Education Summit will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. The agenda will include a panel discussion about the use of sustainable salting practices and how last winter went for various crews and businesses, plus hands-on demonstrations showing Hyde Park’s brine-making system and how to calibrate a truck. We have some vendors signed up who will bring equipment and have tables to share their products as well. There is no charge for the event, but pre-registration is requested. Sponsorships are welcome to assist in providing food and drinks for participants. The registration form is set up to allow sponsors to choose their level of sponsorship.
Attendees are eligible to earn 2 Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA) Certified Snow Professional Credits
