UVM Convocation

UVM's president, Suresh Garimella, hosts this annual celebration for first year and new transfer students that marks the official beginning of the academic year and begins our new student's induction into the UVM community. This event is mandatory for first year students. Following the Convocation ceremony, there will be a parade to the University Green for the Twilight Induction ceremony.
