The sudden transition to remote instruction in Spring 2020 was an unprecedented experience for both faculty members and students in higher education. UVM faculty members met this challenge with incredible resilience and ingenuity. Many faculty members reported that they relied heavily on the collective wisdom of colleagues in adapting to remote instruction.

We welcome all UVM faculty to participate in an Open Forum, Faculty Conversations, to share and reflect on their experience transitioning to remote instruction. What were the major challenges you experienced in transitioning your course? How did you adapt to remote instruction? What successful practices did you implement?

The forum will be a faculty-led conversation with support from the Faculty Professional Development units: Center for Teaching and Learning, Writing in the Disciplines Program, and Office of Community Engaged Learning.
