Mr. Sharif has completed his BSc. and MSc. in Microbiology from the Department of Microbiology, Jahangirnagar University. After completing his graduation, he has been involved in research in the Clinical Microbiology and Immunology laboratory in virology, microbial interactions, molecular epidemiology, bioinformatics and metagenomics. Further, he is also working in genomics and evolutionary studies of rotavirus, norovirus, adenovirus, human bocavirus, sapovirus and other enteroviruses. He is conducting research work to determine genomic diversity and phylodynamics of these viruses to find out more accurate diagnostic tools, and effective treatment options and preventive options in the future.
