BIO
I am a PhD student in the Janssen-Heininger Lab. My research interests include redox biochemistry, translational science, and cellular metabolism. I utilize state-of-the-art molecular and biochemical techniques, including three-dimensional primary cell culture, redox proteomics, and single-cell RNA sequencing, to investigate how redox-dependent processes govern diverse pulmonary diseases. The goal of my research is to expand therapeutic options for the treatment of fibrotic lung diseases through in-depth understandings of redox-based mechanisms. I have been a life long resident of Vermont having graduated from The University of Vermont in 2022. While in college, I conducted undergraduate research in both clinical and biomedical disciplines as a research assistant. Additionally, I worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at a local retail pharmacy for over two years. Outside of lab, I enjoy soaking up the beautiful Vermont weather, getting food with my friends, and spending time with my cat.
Area(s) of expertise
