Alma mater(s)
  • Quinnipiac University, B.S. Quinnipiac University, M.S.

BIO

Originally from Boston, I became a Ph.D. student in the CMB program at UVM where I joined the Chatterjee Lab and started studying the interactions between translesion synthesis (TLS) polymerases and SARS-CoV-2. To accomplish this work, I employ several techniques including microsatellite and telomere instability analysis, electrophoretic mobility shift assays (EMSA), and qRT-PCRs among others.    I graduated from Quinnipiac University with a B.S. in biomedical sciences and continued for an extra year to receive my M.S. in medical laboratory sciences. Following this I moved back to Boston where I became the head laboratory technician for a cancer genetics lab at Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center for four years before coming to UVM.

Area(s) of expertise

The effect of TLS polymerases on SARS-CoV-2 survival and pathogenesis
