Graduate Student

Advisor: Steve Roberts, Ph.D.

Alma mater(s)
  • B.S. Genetics and Cell Biology, Washington State University

BIO

I am a Ph.D. student in Dr. Steven Roberts' lab. I am interested in researching DNA mutagenesis and repair mechanisms. Specifically, the role of homologous recombination in bypassing APOBEC-induced damage. Some methods I use for my research include mammalian cell culture, western blots, and next-gen sequencing.    I graduated from Washington State University in 2022 with a B.S. in Genetics and Cell Biology. I was an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Robert's lab and continued to be a technician after graduating. I worked on examining APOBEC-induced insertion-deletion mutations in yeast. I have now joined the lab as a graduate student.
