Faculty Champion Highlights

Intro

The Faculty Champions program was announced in 2023 by the Center for Community News at the University of Vermont. This program provides funding to dozens of faculty across the nation who are starting and growing news-academic partnerships to help combat the local news crisis. About half of our faculty champions work at minority-serving institutions, including historically Black colleges and universities and Hispanic-serving institutions. CCN provides not only monetary support to these programs, but training and organizational support to their faculty. Learn more about the program.
