UVM Women's Club Volleyball
This has been an extremely successful season for our team so far. We took first place in at the Harvard Invitational in October and hope to travel to nationals this spring in Louisville, Kentucky. Although we have great expectations for our team, they are hindered by one major factor: funding. As a club team at the University, we do receive some funding, but it is not adequate to cover the expenses necessary to operate our team effectively. Some of our many expenses include the costs of transportation, hotel accommodations, tournament entry fees, equipment fees, as well as various other costs. Despite each member of the team paying a fee to participate, additional fundraising is still necessary. This season we have begun a major fundraising effort with hopes that we can raise enough money to get to the national tournament. Some of our efforts have included holding campus bake sales, returning cans for bottle deposits, weekend grilled cheese sales, and partnering with local business Nothing But Noodles for 15% of one day's gross sales. Although these efforts have been somewhat successful, they simply do not surmount the growing costs of operation. With this in mind, we are asking our friends, family members, and local business owners for support! Please contact WomensClubVolleyball@uvm.edu for more information regarding donations and fundraising. Check back soon for additional updates on new fundraising events as well as fundraising progress.Thank you for your support!
