UVM Women's Club Volleyball
About Our Team
Welcome to the homepage for the University of Vermont Women's Club Volleyball Team. The club volleyball team is the only place to play competitive women's volleyball on campus. The team is a student run organization and a member of the Northeast Women's Volleyball Club League (NWVCL).We practice three nights a week and attend between between 6-10 tournaments a year. Our practices, led by our coach as well as team captain, provide us with time to hone our skills and prepare for tournaments, all while keeping a high level of energy and focus. The 2009-2010 season has been a very successful one for our team thus far. We took place at our first tournament at Harvard in October and hope to continue similar success throughout the remainder of the season. We recently qualified for the national tournament, which is to be held in Louisville, Kentucky, and we hope to travel there in early April. Right now we are in the process of a major fundraising effort in hopes of getting to Kentucky. Please see the fundraising section of the page for more information.
Getting to the National Tournament...
This is a very exciting year for our team because it is the first time we have qualified for the USAV National Tournament. Since this is an amazing acomplishment for our young team (this is our third year in the league), we want to capitalize on this opportunity. Playing at Nationals would give our team an opportunity to grow in various ways, both in our physical game and as a club in general. It is for this reason that we have undertaken a massive fundraising effort. Please visit our fundraising page to learn more.
