Vermont Interdisciplinary Leadership Education for Health Professionals (VT-ILEHP)

Trainees and Fellows

Traineeships/Fellowships are available for each academic year to advanced master's and doctoral students, postdoctoral and residency fellows or community professionals who have completed the basic professional level of training in their discipline and are seeking specialized training in interdisciplinary leadership education. The disciplines being considered for traineeships/fellowships include:

  • Audiology
  • Education/Special Education
  • Family Support
  • Nursing
  • Nutrition
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Pediatrics
  • Physical Therapy
  • Psychology
  • Social Work
  • Speech Language Pathology

The VT-ILEHP Program is a collaborative effort of the University of Vermont, the Vermont Department of Health CSHN/Title 5 Programs, the Center for Disability and Community Inclusion, Vermont Family Network and local health agencies. Trainees/Fellows will have an option to complete a 10-month, 12 or 20 hour per week experience, allowing a completion of 5-800 hours in experiences over the course of the program year. Stipend support and tuition assistance are provided for accepted Trainees/Fellows. Trainees/Fellows who satisfactorily complete all VT-ILEHP Program requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion in Interdisciplinary Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities.

Review of applications begins mid-February of each year for the up-coming academic year, which begins mid-August.
