The "Participate in Archeology" bulletin published by the National
Park Service lists not only ways of getting involved in archeology, but a moderate
compliation of magazines, audio-visual programs, and books of interest from across
the United States. The Vermont Archeology Week Committee has also composed
a brief recommended bibliography. This list may be subject to revision, and does
not attempt to introduce all materials suitable for a given topic area.
Children's and Young Adult
The children's magazines Cobblestone and Faces often devote issues
to archeology or archeological topics. The "Eyewitness" series of encyclopedias
and books has several volumes of archeological or historical interest for all ages.
