The "Participate in Archeology" bulletin published by the National Park Service lists not only ways of getting involved in archeology, but a moderate compliation of magazines, audio-visual programs, and books of interest from across the United States. The Vermont Archeology Week Committee has also composed a brief recommended bibliography. This list may be subject to revision, and does not attempt to introduce all materials suitable for a given topic area.


Children's and Young Adult

The children's magazines Cobblestone and Faces often devote issues to archeology or archeological topics. The "Eyewitness" series of encyclopedias and books has several volumes of archeological or historical interest for all ages.
