Weston Village Historic District

This well-preserved upland village along the West River contains a wealth of historic buildings from the late 1700s to the early 1900s. At the center of the district, Farrar Park has a bandstand, Civil War monument, and granite watering trough. In the 1930s Weston became a popular destination for tourists who flocked to see the old Vermont village with its churches and mills, thanks to the promotion of Vrest Orton, who founded the Vermont Country Store.
