Rural Otter Creek Valley Historic District

This well-preserved rural district, located along the old Bennington to Rutland stage road south of Wallingford village, looks much as it did throughout the 19th century when it was a prosperous farming area. The five farms owned by prosperous Merino sheep farmer Isaac Munson and his family include two brick Federal Style houses and three outstanding wood frame Greek Revival style houses.
