Benson Historic District

Benson is located on the Stage Road (completed circa 1790), the earliest road along the Champlain Valley corridor. Centered on a wide, tree-lined street, it includes residential, religious, educational, and agricultural buildings dating from the first half of the 19th-century. The Benson United Church, built in 1842, is one of the finer Greek Revival structures in the state.
