Thetford Hill Historic District

Most of the buildings in Thetford Hill, the first village in Thetford and the home of Thetford Academy, date from before the Civil War. The First Congregational Church, built in 1785-1788 with alterations from 1830, reportedly is the oldest meetinghouse in Vermont in continuous use. The district includes several distinctive Cape Cod houses with original, enclosed entrance porches and an unusual 1817 double house.
