Bristol Downtown Historic District

The development of Bristol's downtown boomed with the development of wood product industries in the late 19th century. At one time the Bristol Manufacturing Company was one of the largest manufacturers of caskets in the country. The district includes 16 commercial blocks, the Queen Anne/Romanesque Revival Town Hall and a grist mill. A large green is located adjacent to the district.
